The Blessings From God

The Blessings From God

'Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘In this way, you shall bless the sons of Israel. You are to say to them:

The Blessings From God

The Lord bless you, and keep you;

The Lord cause His face to shine on you, And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His face to you, And give you peace.’ '

Philippians 4:7

Wow! Wow!!  Wow!!!

Every verse brings another baptism into the wonderful, all-encompassing blessings of God, opening another layer of God's love and provision. In the Old and New Testaments, we find verses that uplift you with hope, victory, joy, peace, and provision.

Blessings from God are another expression of God's love for you. Do we or have we lost sight of this epic characteristic of God? God wants to bless you.

Looking at these verses, can you come to any other conclusion than that the creator of the universe has spoken blessings over your life? God wants us to live joyful, victorious lives full of His wonderful blessings. These are not the only blessings God has provided for you; the Bible is full of them.

We’ve heard these verses many times in our lives, and we rejoice in them for a moment, but do we stop and say wait, let me receive this? Do we stop for a moment and say I accept the peace you want to give me.

Do we stop and allow God to bless me and keep me?

Do we let the countenance of God shine on us?

Do we thank him for being gracious to us?

Are we so busy chasing something we can’t receive the good and perfect gift?

Are we so focused on pursuing the optimum for our lives that we miss the opportunity to prosper and be in the good health He desires for us?

Are we so involved in providing and securing that we don’t give Him the time to fulfill His promise to give us overflowing grace and all sufficiency in everything?  To receive an abundance for every good work?

Have you received every spiritual blessing in heavenly places?

Are you so in tune with God that He makes even your enemies to be at peace with you?

Have you been in a place where the peace of God has had the opportunity to surpass all comprehension of how He is able to guard your heart?

Cornerstone

If we lived in one of those blessings, we would be doing well. Take a blessing from above or from the Bible, and let it become your cornerstone.

It is difficult for us to understand God's generosity in blessing us. We lack the desire to bless people to the extent God wants to bless us, but maybe that is the point. Maybe the generosity of blessing was the point of the blessing—for us to learn the joy of being a blessing, to bring joy to the life of another, maybe to bring peace, to be the light of hope and joy to the lonely and lost.

Was God generous to us so we could be the light to a dying world? Maybe we are blessed to understand that we are called to be blessings. By living in God's blessings, we will have more than enough blessings in our lives to impact others.

We’ve missed this. We are blessed when we are blessed. When you live in peace, you can share peace, and when you have abundance, you can be abundant.  When the grace of God overflows your life, you can share grace.

When you are in good health, you can bless others so that they may be in good health. When God shines his face on you, you can share the grace of God in you. When you receive spiritual blessings, you can be a spiritual blessing. When you begin to understand that the blessings of God are an expression of His love for you, you can begin to share His love.

The blessings of God are not just pithy, well-intentioned proverbs or sayings. They are a picture of a facet of God's loving essence. We are blessed when we begin to incorporate them into our lives. When we stop and seek the blessing. Making a conscious, intentional habit of acquiring what He has already done for us.

 Learn God's blessings so you can receive them and then share them. If we don’t know God's blessings, we can't share them, and we cannot intentionally seek to bless others.

Bless your children, your spouse, your parents, and your family. He wants us to be blessed so that we can bless others. Bless those closest to you. Speak blessing into their lives.

Blessings are a facet of God. Let me bless you.

The Lord bless you, and keep you;

The Lord cause His face to shine on you, And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His face to you, And give you peace.’ '
