Good and Faithful Servant

I Am Proud of You

I Am Proud of You

When a significant person in your life says I am proud of you, it not only lifts your spirit but also enhances your sense of self-worth. We all want to hear these five words from people in our lives who we hold in high esteem.

In the parable The Talents, the master says.

' “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’'

Matthew 25:23

The reward is phenomenal and life-changing. But I wonder what was better: hearing the words well done, good and faithful servant, or the prize. It's funny because usually, when you hear, I am proud of you the price has already been presented or immediately follows. However, it follows the recognition from that person will outlast the reward.

"Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Do you long to hear those same words from God your Father? "Well done, good and faithful servant.” I ask you to stop a minute and ask yourself, do I want to hear those words from God? Those words spoken about me.

In the parable of The Talents, the servants were well-trained in the endeavors they undertook. It was not a fluke they were operating within the giftings given to them by God. I believe for you and I to hear those most desired words, we must operate in the gifting God has placed in us.

You are called to be in business, teaching, accounting, painting, sculpting, singing, writing, or any other gift. The point is if you are called to sing, sing with all your heart. If you are called to teach, teach with every fiber of your being. The mosaic of giftings brings to God the fullness of His creation. When we all operate in the blessings He has bestowed on us, He sees the beauty of the entire kaleidoscope of humanity. If we were all evangelists, all preachers, it would be a very unbalanced representation of God's magnificent creation.

If you want to hear those words, be who God created you to be. Be part of the mosaic that shows God's wonderous majesty. And you will have earned Well done, good and faithful servant.”.
